What Is It We Do,
And Why and How We Do What We Do the Way We Do It?

Trying to Take the Qur'an to Every Home and Heart that Needs It --
And Which One Does Not?)
By the Grace of God Almighty -- Alhamdulillah that is -- we have a pretty clear idea of what it is that we set out to do; what we are really after; and why and how we do what we do.
And we also have a fairly clearly formulated view in our mind of what we are not; what we do not work for; what we do not aim to do or seek to accomplish; and what we do not wish or hope for.
And here is a rough outline of our aims and objectives, our goals and purposes, our ideology and philosophy, our orientation and direction, as well as our methodology and the nature of our work, programs, routine and activities.
And we are interested in people to the extent we find people receptive and responsive to our ideas, goals, purposes and methods.
So, here goes:
1. Aim.
Our goal, or purpose, or aim is not just preaching or doing good in a vague, general, aimless, helter-skelter sort of way, but clearly focused to identify and recruit and train individuals to Work for Allah.
We have no aim, goal or purpose other than that.
And Working for Allah to us primarily means Taking the Qur'an to Every Home and Heart that Needs It -- and Which One Does Not?
2. Method.
Our methodology is Each One, Teach One. That means every individual we try to recruit must learn the Qur'an and then turn around and teach the Qur'an to others. And this chain must continue ad infinitum, meaning Forever.
And we strive to do it all with love and respect for the people we deal with, with good will for all, and with full regard to the law of the land which is our earthly home, and to the best moral norms and mores of the society in which we live.
3. Qur'an.
And for us, Learning the Qur'an means all of the below.
Learning to read the Qur'an correctly; understanding the meaning of the Qur'an; and memorizing parts of the Qur'an progressively.
And that means memorizing Aayats of the Qur'an in such a way that one day we will have committed the entire Qur'an to memory, should Almighty Allah permit us to do that.
4. Lectures, Presentations and Such.
In general, our lectures, presentations and such, do not cater or conform to what people wish or hope for or expect. They all pursue our own agenda of recruiting and training people to Work for Allah.
As a result, our focus is always Qur'an and Hadith. Everything else, such as history, geography, science, world affairs are all incidental to this purpose and are touched upon only to the extent they dovetail to our broader agenda of recruiting and training people to Work for Allah.
5. Individual Growth and Development.
But, at the same time, we expect and encourage individuals within our range of influence to learn everything they can about Allah's Deen and about the world in which we live and in which Allah's Deen always works. And do this on their own.
And we urge them to do so without in any way compromising the primary focus of our lives and activities of Working for Allah and Taking the Qur'an to Every Home and Heart that Needs It -- and Which One Does Not?
And we try to instill in them a keen awareness of the Motives and Intentions with which they approach or undertake any activity in this world, whether it goes by the name of "Personal" or falls under a broader category of Public.
For, it is Motives and Intentions that ultimately make the difference between Good and Bad and pave the path to Hell or Heaven.
That means, Good Intentions lead to Paradise. Bad Intentions are a gateway to Hell.
When Namaz or Salaah is performed purely to please to Allah, it takes you to Paradise. When the same Namaz or Salaah is performed with the intention of showing off or for impressing people with your piety, then it takes you directly to Hell.
So, that is who we are; that is what we do; and that is why we do what we do the way we do it.
