And Islam Means Wise Deployment of Resources!

Islam Means Smart Investment!

If I were a better man, I would have said, of course, let me keep pounding my head against the wall. So, what if no one reads or listens.

Maybe, I would have said, some day, someone, somewhere will read and listen. And I have said that.

And I would have said: What do I care? All I want is Jannat.

But I am not a better man. And it is not really Jannat that is my Primary Focus or Overriding Objective

This world is.

I am keenly aware that my Lord and Master posted me in this world to do a job: To Mind His World.

To Make It Better for His People! All People!

I am only too keenly and too painfully, and almost obsessively, aware of that duty and that responsibility, whose burden grinds me to dust every day. Every waking moment, I should say.

So, I am a man driven by results almost to a point of obsession.

And where results do not change, and outcomes remain unaltered, keeping on doing the same thing over and over, and expecting different results may be the very definition of Insanity.

And a Believer is anything but insane or foolish or stupid.

Of course, you do not control the outcome. Allah does.

But your job as Allah's Manager on Earth is to analyze situations rigorously and to deploy your resources wisely.

And be a smart investor.

Yes, some day, someone will read and listen. But this is a Qawum -- present-day Muslim masses -- do not read Allah's book, or the Hadith, or even someone like Iqbal, let us say. And you live in the hope that they will read your babble?

That is why I ruled out Jannah as my Primary Focus on Day One I undertook this work.

I am a man Driven by Duty. I do my job and to the best of my ability. And I want to do it better than the competition.

If at the end of the day, the Master pays me, fine. If the Master decides he does not want to pay me, that is fine too. I am just grateful for the opportunity.

I am having a lot of fun doing it, no matter how much I groan and moan and complain and gripe.

As Sayyidina Eesa, Alaihis Salam, said:

In Tu'adhdhibhum Fainnahum 'Ibaaduka,
Wa In Taghfir Lahum, Fa-Innaka Antal Azizul Hakim.

So, people, stop obsessing about Jannat and, instead, start obsessing a little bit about your Duty and about your Role as Allah's Managers on Earth.

Islam is not philosophy. It is an action plan from Allah directed at you.

Sent to you at the hands of a very special messenger, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam, who showed you in practice how exactly to go about implementing it.
