A Muslim loves People — All People.
Except those who hate and fight Allah and his Deen.
And his Rasul, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam.
And his Book the Qur’an.
And Muslims despise and oppose and fight those who consistently work to harm and hurt and rob and exploit People, Any People.
And Muslims resist and fight those who subject People, Any People, to all kinds of Injustice and Oppression: Zulm!
And Muslims never tire of inviting People to Allah — Any and All People.
Muslims spend every moment of their life, and every ounce of their energy, and every resource at their disposal, in exploring and pursuing avenues and channels and means and methods to invite People to Allah.
And to take the Message of Allah’s Deen to People — Any and All People.
And no People are more important to Muslims than their own closest relatives such as their own mothers, fathers, uncles, aunts, sons, daughters and such.
Muhammad, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam, spent years and years inviting his beloved Uncle Abu Talib to Islam. And Abu Talib, facing unbearable social pressure from his non-Muslim peers, and in particular Abu Jahl and others, kept saying No to Muhammad, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam.
A Battle Royal between Haqq and Batil — Truth and Falsehood — was joined on Abu Talib’s Deathbed. Muhammad, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam, kept pleading with his Uncle to accept Islam and say La Ilaha Illallah.
And Abu Jahl, from the other side of the dying man’s bed, kept pounding on Abu Talib not to betray his ancestors in his last moments.
Finally, Abu Talib died without accepting Islam.
It just was not to be.
And that is how it is.
It is Allah, and Allah alone, who guides People, and brings People to Islam.
And not you or I or even Allah’s own Rasul, Muhammad, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam.
So, you and I, when we invite our Loved Ones to Allah, are bound to encounter rejection and refusal and resistance.
But in Islam, just because someone says “No!” a million times is not a reason for you and I to give up on them.
And to walk away from them.
