Nation Building Is What Islam Is All About!
And That Is What Muslims Are Supposed To Do!
Everywhere and in Every Way!

As I said in a previous article, Muslims everywhere must plan a National or International or Regional Level Conference on "Communication and Community Building." And I suggest winter of 2018 -- or thereabouts -- as a good date to start working with.
Such a conference, planning for it and making it happen in all its different stages, will, inshallah, very quickly train several generations of young and old, male and female, Muslims into this life-changing business that the world calls Communication, and which is so absolutely critical for all aspects and stages of human life on earth.
These days, everybody in the world has become an expert in playing the game of Communication, even though, in many ways, Communication is an almost original Muslim game.
Listen to the Qur'an:
Wa Man Asdaqu Minallahi Qeelaa?
Paraphrase:
"Who could possibly be a more honest, more truthful and more factual
and more realistic Communicator than Allah?"
At least, it is fair to say, there was a time when Communication was a Muslim forte. And that, in effect, meant: When Muslims Spoke, the World Listened.
The world still does. But, sadly, not in a very positive sense. Muslims in today's world are more communicated about, and they are more communicated to, than they are the Communicators in their own right.
And much of what gets communicated to and about Muslims -- and about Islam -- is generally garbage. It is pure rubbish. A smorgasbord collection of lies, fabrications, half-truths, distortions and non-facts.
Read the Qur'an and you will know, and you can see for yourself, that the Qur'an is the finest Communication Masterpiece there is around.
In any language! On any subject!
And Muhammad, Sallallahu Alaihis Salam, was the greatest and the most successful and the most effective and powerful Communicator that ever lived on the face of this earth.
And, in the few languages that I know, there is no poetry like Arabic Poetry: both Muslim and non-Muslim -- Pre-Islamic Arabic Poetry -- going back nearly 2000 years.
Or poetry like Farsi Poetry -- going back hundreds of years.
Or poetry like, even, Urdu Poetry -- going back at least two-three hundred years.
And I am willing, and I shall be able, Inshallah, to demonstrate this simple fact, and defend my claim, in public, in front of the whole world.
a) Just go, find the largest stadium on this planet.
b) Pack that stadium with the most knowledgeable and educated people in the world.
c) Set up a great big stage.
d) Collect the biggest experts in their own respective poetry and bring them on the stage.
e) Let them all present their choice masterpieces in poetry.
f) Let me, then, present the gems of Muslim poetry in Arabic, Urdu and Farsi languages.
g) And then let the gathering decide on who the winner is: Muslim and Non-Muslim Communication in the form of Arabic, Urdu and Farsi poetry, or something or someone else.
It is my hope, and it is my dream, that Muslims, wherever they are, in whatever society or part of the world they are, will pay heed to my proposal. To my submission if you will.
And that means for the next year, every Muslim everywhere must make such a conference their goal and their priority.
One of their goals anyway -- one of their priorities.
For, the bigger plan, the bigger goal in the life of every Muslim, should always be to rebuild the whole world: Make it better for every Muslim and non-Muslim and for all the creation of God Almighty, both living and non-living.
That is what it means to be Allah's Khalifah on earth. And that is why Allah created us in the first place:
Innee Jaa'ilun Fil-Ardi Khaleefah.
And that means that is the very purpose of our creation and placement on this earth.
Feehaa Tahyawuna,
Wa Feehaa Tamootoona,
Wa Minhaa Tukhrajoon!
And everyone everywhere can help in this effort which is local as well as national and global at the same time.
Such a conference alone will train many of our people into this business of "Nation Building," which is what we are supposed to do as Muslims and as Citizens of various societies of the World in which we live -- in the East as well as in the West, in the South as well as in the North.
And as Citizens of this World in which we live: the whole world, every bit of it.
For, as Allah says:
Wa-Lillahil Mashriqu Wal Maghrib!
And our Rabb is the:
Rabbul Mashaariq!
And he is:
Rabbul Aalameen!
And our Rasul, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam, is:
Rahmatan Lil-Aalameen!
Therefore, Nation Building -- To Rebuild the Entire World to Make It Better -- is our moral, religious, social, civic and national duty in every part of the world.
And we do not have much time to waste. For, the world of Allah is on a fast track to meet its master.
And so is every one of us.
