It does not matter whether you are a Jew, a Christian, a Muslim, a Hindu, a Buddhist or something else. But if you, in any form or fashion, claim to love God, your claim to Love God must be backed up by your Love of People.
In other words, that is Allah’s Law in his creation: Sunnatullah as the Qur’an calls it. And God’s Law neither changes nor moves from its scripted place and time.
In other words: Love God? Love God’s Creation! It is that simple!
And show through your practical behavior, and through the policies and practices of your organizations and governments and societies, that you do so.
And one simple and clear way to show your Love of God is to honor, to protect and to serve God’s Creation in general and human beings in particular.
And when you say Human Beings, that means “All” human beings of all colors, races, religions, nationalities.
That “kind” thing is a hark back to Benjamin Franklin who once remarked that it was quite natural for people to be “partial” to their own “kind.” That was Dr. Franklin’s explanation for why he, Benjamin Franklin, was “partial” to his own “kind,” the English, as opposed to the “Swarthy” Swedes, whom he did not want crowding the shores of these United States, in the shaping and creation of which Dr. Franklin did play a fairly significant role.
At least now will you all say in chorus:
Thank God for Islam?
And thank God for Prophet Muhammad,
Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam?
And thank God for the Qur’an?
For, it was they – Islam, the Qur’an and Prophet Muhammad, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam, I mean – that taught the Human Race the basic tenet of loving, respecting, honoring and protecting “All” human races equally, regardless of their religion, ethnicity, color, country.
