Love of Ahl-e-Bait [Quote - 511]

Published Categorised as Quote-Unquote, Quote-Unquote – Book VI (501-600)

It is as simple as one, two, three. You love Allah, you love his Rasul, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam.

You say you love Rasulullah, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam? Very well, then go and fall in love with the family of Rasul, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam.

Along with his work.

And the Glorious Book, the Qur'an, that he brought from Allah.

And the Noble Companions who helped and supported him.

How to fall in love with the family of Rasulullah, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam?

You are serious, right? You are not joking, correct? And you don't know how to fall in love? And you want me to tell you that?

Maybe you are one of those who never had a mother. Or, maybe, had a monster for a mother.

Or maybe you never had any children of your own.

Or a pet of any kind.

For, if you had experienced the love of a mother, even for a millisecond, and even if you had cast just one fleeting glance of love at one of your children, then you would not be asking this question: How to fall in love with the family of Rasulullah, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam.

You would know.

You would know it by instinct, if you are not among the most wretched of the world, who never tasted a mother's love and never loved a child.

Didn't Rasulullah, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam, say something like forget Iman, Islam and all that, unless you learn to love me more than all else -- including yourself?

And did he not walk a strong man like Umar, Radiyallahu Anhu, through that difficult path step by step, inch by inch, in a rough and rugged place like Arabia where men were men?

Yes, no question about it, love of the family of Rasulullah, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam, is the critical crucible of Iman, Islam and Muslims in every age and place.

But, how do you really love Rasulullah, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam, and his family?

Of course you love them with all your heart, mind and soul. But, at the same time, and in the same breath, you also learn to do more than just emotions and feelings.

You love them by devoting yourself to the fulfillment and continuation of the mission for which God placed them on earth:

To Take the Qur'an to Every Home and Heart that Needs It!

That is how you love the Prophet, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam, and his noble family: with both your mind and heart as well as with your actions and behavior.

Emotionally.

As well as in a practical sense in your everyday life.

It is as simple and elementary as that!
