All my life has gone into looking for answers. Answers to all kinds of difficult questions. Questions that cover a wide range of practically everything in this world.
And some out of this world.
If the search was long and arduous and painful, the answers, when and as they came, were liberating, empowering, exhilarating.
Among them all, the greatest answer was the one with this simple truth, directly from the pages of the Qur'an:
Annahu La Ilaha Illallah!
Meaning:
"Allah is in charge.
He does what he wants.
And how he wants it.
And that is how it is."
This may come as a surprise to many people that anyone in this world will have difficulty dealing with this basic question, especially those who did not have to wrestle with these questions themselves.
How fortunate are those to whom things in life are uncomplicated and self-evident! Not the least the ultimate question of God and his attributes.
My search for answers, I must confess, led me to Islam, even though I am one of those whose entire life is steeped in Islamic heritage and legacy. And it has been so forever.
And it led me, this insatiable appetite for answers, to the Qur'an. To a whole new discovery of the Qur'an -- and its ceaseless wonders and miracles.
The Hadith I was already quite comfortable with all or most of my life. But the Qur'an was a different story.
Along the way, I picked up all kinds of other things from science to philosophy to literature to history to sports to fiction to poetry to what not.
The final result is, or it may be just a stop along the path, our website IslamicSolutions.Com.
And a weekly radio program we have been calling Pasha Hour International -- with most back programs loaded on the website thanks to the intense labor of those dedicated to it.
Our commitment to make a difference in our own lives, as well as in the lives of others in this world, led us to believe that the best way to do it was to try and Take the Qur'an to Every Home and Heart that Needs It -- and Which One Does Not?
As a result, nearly two decades ago, we set about with a fairly clear vision and commitment to produce original literature of the highest quality on Islam in the English language. And we did that with a single-mindedness we never thought we would be able to muster or manage.
And, Alhamdulillah, Thank God Almighty, it is fair to say that we have been blessed with a remarkable measure of success in that regard.
Our pamphlet You Must Know This Man! is now translated in nearly 50 languages and distributed free throughout the world. Frankly, this tiny little write-up must rank as the grand-daddy of most other similar pamphlets, going back well over 40 years now.
Our other writings include Islam: New Frontiers, Vol. I & II; Qur'an Is the Answer; Four Words That Changed the World; Leadership and so on.
We print and distribute these works free, along with a wide range of small individual booklets with all kinds of individual topics under the broad rubric of Islam, Muslims and the World.
All these things are the results of the generosity and sustained and sincere efforts of those working with us on these projects. Some of these people provide the finances needed for this work. Some do the computer work. Some others hit the road to hand over our literature to anyone who would show an interest in receiving it.
May God Almighty bless and reward all these wonderful people for what they do.
