Quote-Unquote: Dr. Pasha on Islam,
Muslims and the World
(Bringing Islam to the World One Concept at a Time!
Taking the Qur'an to Every Home and Heart that Needs It --
And which One Does Not?)
Muslims are a funny breed -- by birth or by conversion.
That is, whether they are “born into Islam” or whether they “converted to Islam” from a state of non-Islam, they are still a pretty funny bunch.
Forgive me, but I do not use that foolish expression “reverted to Islam.”
“Funny” in a cute and cuddly sort of a way, as I have stated elsewhere, and not in a derogatory or pejorative sense.
And who can be more cute or cuddly than people who are on a sure track to Paradise? As it was foretold by Prophet Muhammad, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam?
The record shows he said:
Ummatee Haadhi-hi Ummatun Marhoomah!
“My people are a blessed people!”
Indicating they are on their way to divine Grace and Forgiveness.
Part of Muslims being funny to me is how busy Muslims are expressing the “hope” God will accept their prayers.
If they read their Qur’an they will know that ab initio -- right from the beginning -- that is exactly what God does: HE ACCEPTS THEIR DU’AS (PRAYERS) WHEN AND AS THEY MAKE THEM.
That is his job.
He says he is Mujeeb!
No, don’t believe me. Read the Qur’an:
Ujeebu Da’watad Daa’i Idhaa Da’anee!
“I respond to -- I answer -- the call, the prayers, of those who call me, those who pray to me, when and as they call me, when and and as they pray to me.”
So, to me Muslims are funny because they are always busy telling God what to do and almost not a whimper or squeak about what it is they themselves have to do next.
Nothing about where they go from here.
Nothing like -- for example:
‘People, we have done the Khatm, Alhamdulillah; we have made the Du’as;
let us now all ask: What do we do next?
Let us ask: Where do we go from here?
For example, should we:
Continually work on our Qur’an Readers’ List and update it?
How can we “hit the road,” as these bad Americans say, and recruit new people for the next Khatm?
Should, for example, each one of us commit ourselves to find and train a new “recruit” for the Next Khatm?
Would that be too much of a burden? Or can we all try and work on it?
Would it be appropriate at this stage to think of that foolish man Dr. Pasha who, a long, long time ago used to teach:
“Each One, Teach One!”
And we all recited that chant like a parrot? Only to forget it and turn our back on it the moment the man went away on a break? Or wherever!
So, there is no end to how funny, cute and cuddly Muslims can be.
