Just Jump Start Your Islam:
That Is the Best Antidote to Your Doubt and Depression [Quote - 974]

Published Categorised as Quote-Unquote, Quote-Unquote – Book X (901-1000)

Muslim or non-Muslim, we are all weak, we are all flawed. And we all have our problems and our issues.

And we have all kinds of interests and agendas that we all pursue.

And then we all have our own understanding of Islam, of what is right and what is wrong.

Our worldly allegiances and loyalties, as well as our agendas and priorities, differ, even though all Muslims claim to worship Allah and follow his Rasul, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam.

And of course our leadership also is different.

And in the process, when it comes to dealing with obstacles and roadblocks in our path, we all have set up our own pet windmills to tilt against. Our own Favorite Enemy's List as it were.

As a result, what people call Muslim Unity is mostly a distant dream.

And sometimes this chant of Muslim Unity may even be a carefully constructed ploy and distraction to fool and misguide Muslim masses and take their attention away from their real and most pressing issues and challenges.

Consequently, Working for Allah as an Iron-Clad Team is not always a reality among us.

And this could be discouraging in the extreme, even downright depressing.

That is why I believe the Antidote is: Just Do It!

And by that I mean, wherever we are, it is never too late to Jump Start Our Islam. Don't wait around for others to join you, support you or even agree with you.

Instead, say Bismillah! and do whatever you are capable of doing, provided it is Lawful, Halal and Moral

And provided you have thought it through carefully. And you keep an open mind.

And so long as your Intention (Niyyat) is right and pure. And so long as your Attitude is humble, cooperative and reasonable.

You do that and Allah's help and Barakat will come your way.

No matter who you are, and no matter where you are, and no matter what the work is that you are doing.
