For, in Islam, and in science, and I don't even know the difference between the two a lot of times, this day, whichever day it happens to be, is the first day of the rest of your life.

Your life begins today and, in that sense, everyday is your "Birthday," as the world calls it and celebrates it.

But the world does it mostly for commercial reasons. We are trying to get you to pay attention to this important fact in your life for your own good. Not because we have Birthday Cards or Cakes to sell. And gift items to move off store shelves.

Regardless of how bad or deficient your past life has been, Allah says turn it around today. And you can do it too.

And it is simple: Make Tawubah and make a fresh start. That means repent your past lapses, and commit yourself to a more active future.

And you can do it for as long as you wish, and as many times as you wish, till the icy fingers of death have grabbed hold of you by the throat.

That is Islam for you. And there is no better deal for anyone anywhere.

And that is because Islam is not just praying and fasting and zakat and hajj, it is also Telling Others about Islam.
