God Almighty Is Merciful,
But His Wrath Could Be Severe! [Quote – 1012]

God Almighty is more loving than the most loving of mothers. He says in the Qur'an that he has imposed Love and Mercy on himself.

As his dominant attributes, should we think? I don't know. But this is what the Qur'an says:

Kataba Alaa Nafsihir-Rahmah!

But at the same time, what most people forget is that this is not a God with whom you can trifle or take chances, especially on a continuing basis.

So, when people break his Commandments, and do so willfully and persistently, they are really challenging God to do something about it.

When this behavior becomes brazen, flagrant, open and widespread, Allah decides to visit his punishment upon such people. The Qur'an gives the name Adhaab to God's punishment of wrongdoers and Commandment Breakers.

And God Almighty sends this Adhaab where he wants and targets whom he wants.

And nothing provokes God's Wrath, and nothing invites his Adhaab, more than something the Qur'an calls Zulm. 

A simple meaning of Zulm is committing all kinds of injustices and atrocities on those who are incapable of defending and protecting themselves.
