Dr. Pasha’s Arabic Language and Cultural Immersion Sessions -- Lesson 49

Two Errors that Must Be Corrected

  1. In session 14 of October 7, I think, I mispronounced Aataw as Aatoo. That is a serious error.

Aataw is plural from Aataa, past tense: He Gave.

Aatoo is plural from Aati, imperative: Give.

  1. In another session I read a Hadith wrong. I said the words were Zayynul Qur’ana bi-Aswaatikum.

Whereas the correct wording is Hassinul Qur’ana bi-Aswaatikum.

I should have said Hassinul, and not Zayyinul.

The Hadith Sharif can be found in Mishkaat Al-Masaabeeh.
