Coronavirus:
The Case of the Missing God!

And which One Does Not?)
A deadly plague is sweeping the globe in the form of the novel Coronavirus pandemic. People are getting sick and falling dead all over the world.
There is no vaccine. And there is no cure. Not yet at least.
And devices to test those who may be affected by the virus are barely off the ground in the United States, the richest nation on earth.
There is panic and fear everywhere.
While everyone everywhere is saying everything they think is appropriate, not one credible voice is raising the name of God. As if God is the last thing an afflicted humanity needs at this time.
Once again, the American and European Muslims are missing in action. Instead of providing leadership and introducing God in the discussion, God only knows where they are and what they are doing.
This is the time for Muslims of America and Europe to invite their Qawum, the respective peoples of their societies, to turn to God and to repent: Make Tawubah.
For, sometimes, these terrible diseases and afflictions are a punishment from God Almighty for our sins. For all those bad things that we knowingly and deliberately and persistently do in our life.
All the unspeakable horrors and atrocities against fellow human beings of which so many people are guilty, both as individuals and as nations, societies and countries.
All those injustices we commit on one another.
And all those Commandments in the Bible, and in the Qur'an, including the 10 Commandments, everyone of which we not only break but flout and mock in public.
God is a compassionate, patient and forgiving God. But his punishment can be swift and his anger can be warded off only through repentance.
And that is the one thing that nobody seems to want to talk about.
Not even the Muslims.
