A “Muslim” Did It?
But Then What Did the Other Muslims Do?

Our Considered Policy: Not to Comment

IslamicSolutions.Com and Pasha Hour International do not, as a rule, comment on current events. And that is mostly for lack of resources.

To the extent we can, we do not like to address issues we do not have sufficient resources to thoroughly research, analyze and understand. For, our mission is to bring clarity and not to create confusion.

We certainly are not doing any of the things we do for name or fame for ourselves. Or as a means of livelihood, for, we quite strongly hold that it is better to be a cobbler in the street, eking out an honest living, than to make money off of Islam and Muslims.

Especially in the tragic times we seem to be living, in which Islam and Muslims have become the best and easy passport for name, fame and wealth for both Muslims and non-Muslims.

Non-Muslims seem to make $millions by badmouthing Islam and Muslims. And Muslims make a bit of money themselves doing one “Islamic” thing or another from selling “HalalMeat to running “Islamic” institutions and organizations of one kind or another.

Islam seems to be big business no matter how you cut it. And as the Qur’an says, Allah seems to be helping everyone have their way:

Kullan Numiddu Haa-ulaa-I wa Haa-Ulaa-I Min 'A-taa-I Rabbik.

Choosing Light over Darkness

We want to be able to spread light and create hope. And we do not wish to obfuscate or spread darkness.

In the language of the Qur’an we choose Noor (light) over Zulumaat (all kinds and layers of darkness and murkiness).

To do that requires an enormity of all kinds of resources which at the moment Allah has chosen to keep away from us.

But some events do seem to call for urgent comment, no matter how sparse our resources and how inadequate our research and analysis, even though in doing so one runs the risk of being hasty or even wrong.

The Rape and Gang-Rape Crisis in India, and the association in some cases of Muslim-sounding names with it, is one such case in point. We no longer can withhold comment on it, no matter how quick our reaction may appear to be.

Maybe God Almighty some day, and we hope and pray that day is soon, will provide us the resources that will enable us to do all the research and the analysis we need to undertake before we are ready to comment on any of the ongoing events around the world.

Loving the World and Serving It

Make no mistake. I love India as much as I love America. Or any other part of God’s beautiful earth for that matter. And that includes the Land of the Brits with whom I have all kinds of issues going back when.

Loving the world and finding ways to serving it by any means possible is in my genes.

But loving someone does not mean leaving them alone. It certainly does not mean standing by and doing nothing when they are about to be run over by a truck.

Right now, the truck that is about to run over the Muslims of India may be themselves.

India’s Hate Machines

Words fail, and emotions overreach, as anyone with any sense of decency ponders any of the hate machines churning wild in the length and breadth of beautiful, blessed India. While perpetrators are many, topping the list of targets and victims are mostly Muslims.

From meticulously planned economic annihilation to perfectly choreographed genocidal massacres, and rapes, Muslims of India have seen it all.

And they continue to be the staple fodder for the hate machines of India.

The Enemy Within

While anti-Muslim hate and hostility need to be addressed and stopped by any means moral and legal, Muslims of India also need to mount an urgent and sweeping campaign to save themselves from the enemy within: themselves.

While there are many levels at which this needs to happen, one glaring area is association of Muslim-sounding names with acts of rape.

Story after story appears in the press, and the press is what it is, that identifies one or more of the perpetrators of gang-rape as Muslims.

These stories are either true or totally or partially fabricated. If they are the product of media’s fevered brain, then Muslims of India – and Muslims around the world, for, Muslims, I am told are one people – must take steps to combat these lies.

What If the Rape Stories Are True?

If, on the other hand, any of these stories are true, then the question is what are the Muslims of India – and Muslims of the world – doing about it?

What is being done to save Indian Muslims from themselves?

While I have read any number of stories associating Muslim names with rape and gang-rape perpetrators in India, I have not come across any serious idea or initiatives directed at saving India’s Muslims from themselves – from their own worst behaviors and inclinations.

I have not seen or heard of any meaningful steps being taken to save India’s Muslims from certain death and destruction not only in this world but also in the next world, which is where the association of their young men in rape and gang-rape activities will most certainly lead them.

Is This Press Report True or False?

The lines below are what I read this morning in one of India’s more respectable English dailies – again, Indian journalism being what it is.

Having read these lines, my simple question to India’s Muslims is whether this story is true, and if it is, then what are they doing about it?

And if the story, on the other hand, is malicious and fraudulent, then how are they planning to deal with it.

For, these stories in the press, true or false, have profound consequences for both the Muslims of India as well as the Indians in general.

And they have serious implications for Muslims around the world, even though world Muslims may be caught up in their many silly or foolish pursuits to pay any attention to them or to react to them in any truly effective and meaningful ways.

And ignoring or downplaying these stories, whether they are true or false, can only be done at one’s own peril.

And, as anyone with eyes can see, “peril” is what defines the condition of Muslims around the world today.
