Letter from the Visitor

Salaam alaykum, Dr. Pasha.

I just wanted to say mashallah, I enjoy your website. I am a relatively new revert to Islam, so I enjoy educating myself as much as I can. I find the content of your site to be truthful, moderate, and easy to comprehend. I hope you will keep up the good work!

Thank you,

Response to the Letter by Dr. Pasha

Assalamu alaikum,

Dear Madam,

Allah bless you for writing.

Forgive me for the delay in responding to your mail.

No Accidents in Allah’s World

I came across your mail just now, by accident as it were, knowing full well, of course, that there are no accidents in Allah's world, as I was trying to get rid of some old mail.

It is a blessing of Allah – and thank you very much and may Allah bless you – that you are able to visit www.IslamicSolutions.Com.

We Are All Converts to Islam

Welcome to Islam, if I may say so. And in a very real sense, we are all converts to Islam.

And we all must revive and reinvent our commitment to the Deen of Allah every moment of our life.

And we must all hope and pray that our new commitment is more sincere, more deeply rooted in our heart, mind and soul, and more profound, than all our previous commitments – which most likely we broke in a thousand ways – and it is accepted by Allah better and more than the last commitments we made.

Education in Islam

As for educating oneself, that is the core of Islam.

First thing Allah did, when he created Adam, Alaihis Salam, and asked the angels to pay their respect to him, was to give Adam, Alaihis Salam, the most complete and comprehensive education anyone ever had.

As Allah himself says: Wa 'allama Adamal Asmaa-a Kullaha.

Teachers to Educate Humanity

Thereafter, down the ages, in every age and in every place, Allah sent any number of prophets, messengers and Rasuls, Alaihimussalam, as teachers and educators of humanity.

And then 1400 years ago Allah sent the Qur’an in our world as “The Book” to educate the world.

And, along with the Qur’an, Allah sent his last Rasul, Muhammad, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam, into this world, so he will educate and train the people of this world – in everything that is good for them in this world and in the next world – forever and ever.

Tazkiyah: Purification

And also, at the same time, for the purposes of complete internal and external cleansing and purification of the people of the world.

As the Qur’an says: Wa Yu’allihumul Kitaaba wal Hikmata wa Yuzakkeehim!

So, educating oneself is what Islam is all about, even though one may not get that sense by looking at today’s Muslims.

Truthfulness: A Most Fundamental Requirement of Islam

You said in your kind e-mail: “I find the content of your site to be truthful, moderate, and easy to comprehend.”

First of all, we thank you for your kind and generous words. Having done that, kindly allow me to submit the following in this regard on each specific item you mentioned:

  1. As for www.IslamicSolutions.Com being “truthful,” that is the least that is required of us as Muslims. For, Islam is truth – Haqq.

And because Allah is Haqq: Truth.

And because Allah’s word Qur’an is Haqq: Truth.

And to the extent anyone deviates from the truth, especially when that act of deviation is deliberate and willful, they move away from Islam, and from the Rahmat of Allah, and they hurtle with great speed toward Hell, both in this world and in the next world.

So, may Allah keep us all always on the path of truth and save all of us from deviation from the divine path of truth.

Moderation Is What Islam Came to Teach the World

  2. As for www.IslamicSolutions.Com being “moderate,” I hope and pray – and we are fairly confident with and in the blessing of Allah – that it is no more and no less moderate than is the noble and most glorious Book of Allah and the teachings and example of Allah’s last prophet and messenger on earth, Sayyidina Muhammad, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam.

It is our most ardently held belief and conviction, and it is our most fervently made assertion and submission, that there is nothing on this earth that is more or less moderate than Islam – the Noble Qur’an and the Glorious Hadith Sharif and the Illustrious Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam.

For, the glorious Deen of Allah is – Islam in all its facets, aspects, parts, manifestations, tenets and teachings – moderation, and it is nothing but moderation, from top to toe.

And non-moderate elements and aspects enter into what people say and do to the extent they deviate and wander off from the pure and pristine teachings of the Deen of Allah.

Islam Came to Wean the World from Its Extremist Ways

If fact, Islam was sent into the world to wean the world from its extremist ways at either end of what Aristotle called the Golden Mean.

At one end of the spectrum is the Extreme of Excess or the Extreme of Doing Too Much.

This in the language of Islam is called Ifraat – or Ghuluw.

Whereas at the other end of the spectrum is the Extreme of Deficiency or the Extreme of Doing Too Little.

This in the language of Islam is called Tafreet.

Political and Religious Extremism before Islam

The world before Islam was caught up in these two extremes: the Extreme of Ifraat (Doing Too Much) and the Extreme of Tafreet (Doing Too Little).

That is how things used to be before Islam, on the Political Front as well as on the so-called Religious Front.

It was Extremism everywhere – on every front and at every level.

    People Worshipped Their Kings!

People worshipped their kings and queens as divine. The kings and queens were totally absolute rulers. No one could argue with anything they did or said.

They claimed that they were kings and queens by Divine Right. That means God gave them that right, and God made them kings and queens, and, as a result, no one should ever question their being king and queen – or doubt or dispute anything they did or said.

Allahu Akbar! Subhanallah! What a fanatical, irrational, perverse, insane Extremist Political Ideology this was!

And it lasted until almost the end of World War I throughout Europe.

And its remnants survive in some form or fashion to this day.

    God Bless America!

    God Bless America!

For, America was among the first – after Islam blazoned the way – to raise the flag of revolt against this very perverse and sick Extremist Political Ideology of Divine Right of Kings to Rule.

Both the American (1776) and French Revolutions (1789) were based on this great and most wonderful Islamic Ideal of rejecting the Political Extremism of the Diving Right of Kings to Rule.

    The Extremist Rule of Primogeniture

This perverse convention of the Divine Right of Kings was also associated with another equally perverse rule of what is called Primogeniture.

According to this other perverse rule, the First-Born in every family, including royal families, took everything the family had and left nothing for the second- and other-borns.

So, it was this kind of Extremist and Fanatical political and social perversion and sickness that Islam came into this world to end.

Islam, thus, came to introduce a new era of moderation and rationality and common sense in the worlds.

    And did.

    Religious Extremism and Fanaticism

Things were no better on the religious front. Extremism was the order of the day.

Those who aspired to win God Almighty’s pleasure routinely tortured themselves and subjected themselves to all kinds of harsh and cruel trials and tribulations. That was considered normal.

Priests blessed the kings and queens and confirmed and validated their Divine Right to Rule.

All manner of thinking, rationality, inquiry and investigation were all discouraged under the watch of the “religious” people. No one was allowed to raise any questions about anything that passed for anything “religious.”

It was this kind of “Religious” Extremism and Fanaticism that Islam came to end.

    And did.

So, we are grateful to Almighty Allah that you find www.IslamicSolutions.Com adhering to the path of moderation – which means nothing more and nothing less than Islam, period.

Ease of Comprehension: That Is Islam

  3. As for www.IslamicSolutions.Com being easy to comprehend, Allahu Akbar, Subhanallah, that is the standard of excellence that Almighty Allah set for himself in the Qur’an.

Wa Laqad Yassarnal Qur’ana Lidhdhikr, says the Qur’an repeatedly, meaning, “We have indeed made the Qur’an, and thereby everything else by extension and implication, easy.”

Allah emphasizes this no less than four times in Surah Al Qamar alone, Chapter # 54.

    Required Standard of All

And it is also the standard which Allah demands and expects of his slaves: ease of comprehension and ease of being able to do what one must do in life.

Hadith Sharif is most clear and emphatic on this score. It says: Yassiroo, wa Laa Tu’assiroo. Meaning: “Make things easy and don’t make things hard and difficult.”

Alhamdulillah Is All We Can Say

So, to the extend you find these things – Truthfulness, Moderation and Ease of Comprehension – in www.IslamicSolutions.Com, we are grateful to Almighty Allah that he enables us to hew closely to what is demanded and expected of Muslims.

    Our only response is: Alhamdulillah!

Again, Allah bless you and reward you for visiting and making use of www.IslamicSolutions.Com.
