Here is How!

Dr. Pasha

Assalamu Alaikum!

May Allah bless, guide and accept your wonderful efforts in the service of his Deen.

And in the pursuit of your own and your family’s welfare in this world and in the next world.

Rabbanaa  Aatinaa  Fiddunyaa  Hasanatan
wa  Fil-Aakhirati  Hasanatan  wa-Qinaa

After three decades of giving lectures throughout US and Canada, my views on Islam and Muslims in the west are now available on CDs and cassette tapes in the form of booklets.

We now, Mashallah, also have a dedicated web site  —  — for you to visit and as well as an E-Group for you to join and participate in.

I urge you to listen to those CDs and read those booklets.

I also ask you to please visit the web site and join the E-Group.

Throughout, I have tried to articulate a view of Islam that is based on Qur’an and Hadith and that addresses the situation of Muslims today in a meaningful way.

Especially in the west.

I call the Muslims of the West The Western Wing of the Muslim Ummah.

I refer to the West as home for Islam and Muslims — in spite of some of the terrible things that Muslims have had to face recently.

The expression Muslim America was first used by me several years before the National Geographic picked it up and made a title page out of it.

I presented major papers at international professional annual conferences in the late 1980s on Islam and Muslims and democracy.

I published a major article on Islam and democracy in a Sage journal in the early 1990s.

More recently, I have also started an international Qur’an program.

In it I use Islamic as well as western and other areas of scholarship and knowledge to connect Muslims personally and directly to the word of Allah.

In this program, I teach Muslims the Qur’an in Arabic, English, Urdu, Farsi…or any other language that they may know, even though I may not know it myself…provided they know enough English to understand me.

Yet, prior knowledge of Arabic is not required for anyone to attend this programme and, Inshallah, to benefit from it.

It is quite different from the way Tafseer is done traditionally.

These programs have been, by the grace of Allah, most successful wherever they have been delivered. Those who have attended the programmes on either side of the Atlantic have had the most wonderful things to say about them, Mashallah! To read participant comments please visit

If you are interested in organizing a Qur’an program in your area, please contact me, and I will tell you what you need to do to get a programme going in your area.

I strongly urge you to give this idea your best thought.

My goal is, Inshallah, to bring the Qur’an to every heart and home wherever possible, while I have the strength and energy to do it. I have not the slightest doubt it will happen, with the grace and mercy of Allah, Subhaanahu wa Ta’aala.

Every Muslim everywhere, regardless of background, deserves to learn the Qur’an and what the Qur’an has to tell him or her personally.

That is what the Qur’an came in this world to do: to tell every man and woman about the Deen of Allah – and about themselves. For too long we have turned our back on this noble book and on this important mission. For too long we have kept the slaves of Allah – ‘Ibaadullah – from the book of Allah — Kitabullah.

Organizing a Qur’an program in your area is easier than you think…Inshallah!

All we need to do is the following:

(a)  Bring together a minimum of 40 men and women who can each
pay £25 for a day-long program to cover expenses;

(b)  Set a date – any Saturday;

(c)  Find a nice place in which to hold the programme;

(d)  Contact me.

Please e-mail me for more details and I will guide you through the steps.

May Allah bless you!

Your brother…
