A Ramadan Greeting
From Dr. Pasha
The blessed and beautiful month of Ramadan is a time for whipping our body, mind, heart and soul in shape by turning off nourishment and oxygen to all unhealthy impulses and destructive tendencies.
The result is better individuals, groups, organizations, societies, cultures and world — filled with Taqwa: a state of the most intense awareness of God’s presence and power in your life at all times, everywhere and with regard to everything.
The Devil — Shaitan — has been gagged, bound and locked up already, is he not — for the duration of the month of Ramadan?
Ramadan is the month of Qur’an during which we fast during the day and pray during the night and invite humanity to Allah night and day.
This is also the month in which we try to read the Qur’an as much as we can: Muslims reading the Qur’an in original Arabic and of course in any translation they find convenient and non-Muslims making a serious effort to read a translation of the Qur’an in any language that they can.
Ramadan is the month that started up the world on the path to universal education and freedom for all men and women all over the world. Ramadan is the month of peace on earth and justice for all.
This is the month in which every Muslim and non-Muslim man and woman must rededicate themselves to doing all they can to usher in a new era of universal peace, prosperity, education, freedom, justice, equality, dignity, opportunity and human rights for all.
May God Almighty shower upon all the choicest blessings of this blessed month of Ramadan.
