Prayer, Fasting and a Sturdy Ladder to Climb the Roof [Quote of the Day - 265]

Expand Excerpt >>

“What many people may not realize about Islam is that the Law of Gravity is as Islamic as Fasting and Prayers – what is called Siyaam and Salaah or Roza and Namaz. And having a safe, sturdy and secure ladder as a requirement of climbing an otherwise inaccessible roof may be as much a part of Islamic life as Ablution or Wudu is to Prayers or Salaah. For all those used to various forms and brands of Snake Oil in the name of Islam, and in the name of “religion” in general, how does this sound as a core insight into the spirit and true teachings of Islam?” (Dr. Pasha)

You Want A Better World? Clean Up Your Inside [Quote of the Day - 264]

Expand Excerpt >>

“Of course, we must ask Allah all the time – for everything, no matter how small or routine it may be, just like the Hadith says. But at the same time, here is something important we all must learn: Rather than asking Allah all the time to purify our motives and intentions, we must work on doing it ourselves, even though nothing ever gets done without Allah doing it. That is because till we clean up our inside, our motives and all, our outside, our actions and output that is, will not become pure. And the Qur’an will then remain a stranger to us for the most part. And we will be reduced to playing games with the Qur’an the way many non-Muslims or even Muslims do. The world will then go on being the kind of mess it is.” (Dr. Pasha)

Pleasure-Pain Principle [Quote of the Day - 263]

Expand Excerpt >>

“Pleasure for many people is the path they pursue through life. Pain is often the price they pay for many of the pleasures they seek in this world. Islam modulates pleasure, and optimizes it, while minimizing pain and distancing it. Islam also balances the pleasure-pain principle of this world against the pleasure-pain prospect of the next world. Now, that is Islam for you in a nutshell.” (Dr. Pasha)

  • People are so happy with this worldly life that they don’t think about dying and meeting their God.
  • The Qur’an is perhaps the most recited book on the face of this earth. Which other book gets recited as much, do you think?
  • It would appear many non-Muslims drive through life with blindfolds on. They just live. They swallow whoever says whatever. Often, they haven’t got a clue.
  • As for Muslims, they seem to drive through life with their eyes glued to the rear-view mirror. For them, it is always about the past, not about the present or the future.
  • The Devil said to God: “I’m going to get Adam’s children – except maybe a few.” And he seems to be succeeding.
  • God clearly warns us in the Qur’an: Don’t fall into the trap of the Devil.
  • Muslims have the guidance and do not do anything with it. Non-Muslims could not care less. So the Devil rules. How much worse can it get?
  • Samuel Huntington’s Clash of Civilizations – Western and Islamic civilizations that is – is a notion that is full of problems.  It is flawed theory. And it is simplistic. But there are people who receive Huntington’s work with open arms. They are generally those who think Muslims and Islam are all bad. Samuel Huntington’s, however, was not an original idea. It was a rehashing in modern academic terms of the age-old notion of White Supremacy and Western Entitlement to World Domination. That idea was the guiding spirit of Western Civilization, Colonization and Slave Trade for centuries. Huntington’s work is almost a direct descendant in the 20th Century of a prominent and influential 19th-Century Western Colonialist Racist, Rudyard Kipling, who suggested that “East is East and West is West and the Twain shall never meet.”
  • There are two kinds of ideologies or mindsets in this world based on two basic ideas and they spawn two very different kinds of civilizations:
  1. Civilization of Truth based on what the Qur’an calls Haqq – which is basically the Path of God.
  2. Civilization of Falsehood based on what the Qur’an calls Baatil – which is the Path of the Devil.
  • God is Truth (Haqq); God’s book is Truth (Haqq); God’s message is Truth (Haqq) and God sent a messenger, Prophet Muhammad, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam, whose mission in this world is Truth (Haqq).
  • Muslims don’t know how to do effective “propaganda” against their enemies. Propaganda simply does not fit the Islamic culture or mindset, because generally speaking propaganda is based on lies, deceit and manipulation.
  • “All the uprisings going on in what is called the Middle East in 2011 follow the path of the “Passover” – paraphrasing American President Barack Obama. They echo the timeless declaration of Moses, God Bless Him, to pharaoh, as the Qur’an tells us: “Let My People Go!”
  • There are two types of civilizations in this world:
  1. Good Civilization which is the Mosaic Civilization – and it is one of truth, equity, decency, liberty, freedom, justice.
  2. Bad Civilization which is the Pharonic Civilization – and it is one of arrogance, racism, brute force, barbarity, tyranny. It works to keep people in bondage. It is driven and powered by entire industries for arms, lies, deceit, manipulation of truth and people – propaganda
  • Much of the media industry in our world today has degenerated into a propaganda industry – no respect or regard for truth except when it is convenient or suits someone’s purposes. Most Muslims are ignorant about what is going on in the world and live as slaves as a result.
  • The difference between lies and stupidity is that it is Lies is when you know that what you are peddling is not true; and it is Stupidity is when you don’t.
  • The Qur’an does not mention seventy (70) virgins, as so many in the media scream at the top of their lungs, but the Civilization of Lies does not care about that.
  • The Qur’an, however, does mention the number 70, but it does so in entirely different contexts:
    • Reference 1 – the perpetrator of lies (those who knowingly and deliberately lie and cheat and deceive) and those who exploit the weak and take advantage of them – would rot in Hell, shackled in a 70-yard long chain.
    • Reference 2 – Prophet Muhammad, Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam, is told by God Almighty, there are some bad people in this world who are so terrible that if you pray for them as often as even 70 times, God is not going to forgive them.
  • The Muslims are supposed to be the people of Truth.  If you lose the opportunity to tell the Truth, it will come back to haunt you. Muslims didn’t tell the Truth when the going was good. Muslims didn’t tell the Truth when things went sour.
  • The critical component of the Mosaic Civilization as opposed to the Pharonic Civilization is Truth.
  • Work for, live for, speak, champion, be committed to Truth. That is from God. And that is Islam.
  • Speak the Truth of what you do. Islam has the ability to expose the fraudulent structure of the Pharonic civilization. Let us commit ourselves to the Truth to the extent we can.
  • The Devil’s way is falsehood, lies, cheating, propaganda.
  • Science, done right, is from God. It is God’s method in our own human hands.
  • Truth is from God and it is the right of every human being to hear it and find it.
